Atrauman AG sterile silver-containing ointment compress

Atrauman AG is suitable for the treatment of a wide range of wounds, including:

• Infected wounds
• Chronic wounds
• Burns
• Surgical wounds

The compress is soft and comfortable for the patient and it is easy to apply and remove.

Properties of Atrauman® Ag silver-containing ointment compress

• Soft, thin material for easy application and good contact with the wound
• Silver-containing ointment mass promotes healing and keeps the wound soft
• Silver in the bandage actively works against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, including MRSA strains
• Releases small amounts of silver over a longer period (7 days) to protect healthy cells

Material

• Woven polyamide fibers coated with elemental silver and impregnated with a triglyceride-based ointment
• Silver content corresponds to 30-50mg/100 cm2
• Classified as medical device class IIb, sterile
• Equipped with a CE marking

Special precautions

• A medical assessment is always necessary before treating wounds contaminated or infected with bacteria
• Under no circumstances can a silver-containing dressing replace wound cleaning
• Atrauman® Ag should not be used in combination with paraffin-containing ointments

Indication and application

• As an additional measure in the treatment of wounds with a high bacterial load or infected wounds
• Also as additional infection prophylaxis in combination with wound treatment
