Island patch

Island plaster is a larger version of the plasters that we put on small wounds. But for the treatment of large wounds, an extra large wound pad is important during the treatment and healing of the wound. This keeps the area in question protected and the absorbent wound pad makes it easy to collect any exudate from the wound.

Moreover, the plasters do not stick. The wound remains well protected from the outside of the island plaster and the non-adhesive inside. Tearing a large wound, through island plasters that can stick to the wound, is disastrous for the healing.

Island plasters with transparent foil

Island plaster from Hydrofilm is a plaster with transparent foil and a self-adhesive wound pad that does not stick to the wound. This island plaster is also friendly to the skin and wound. And the transparent foil makes it possible to properly inspect the outside of the wound.

The edges of the island patch are rounded. So that corners cannot come loose when sliding over the plaster or moving the area in question. The island plasters also adhere well to the skin around the wound, for a safe wound environment.

The adhesive material on the skin is hypoallergenic, which makes this island patch a hypoallergenic patch. The absorption cushion is made of viscose fibers and does not contain rosin. Colophony consists of a mixture of resins and can cause allergic reactions or eczema, but with this island patch there is no rosin.
