Various island patch sizes

Island plasters, also known as border plasters, are plasters whose wound pad is surrounded by an adhesive edge. The absorbent wound pad of an island plaster is larger than that of a regular plaster. Island plasters are therefore suitable for larger wounds. Because they cover the wound all around, dirt from outside does not have a chance to penetrate the wound. There are various island patch sizes, ranging from 5x7 centimeters to 10x35 centimeters. Sterile island plasters can be used to cover surgical wounds. Due to their high degree of flexibility, these plasters can also be used on wounds on body parts that are subject to a lot of movement.
