If there is a wound on the head, a pressure bandage around the head can be a good way to keep a gauze in place. Placing or applying a band-aid or other type of adhesive wound dressing to the head is not a good idea because of hair growth. To keep a sterile gauze or wound fluid-absorbing bandage in the right place, you can place a bandage around the head. You can choose a bandage that adheres to itself, but not to the skin and hair. A non-adhesive pressure bandage in combination with adhesive plasters, such as our fixation plasters from Omniplast, is also a good alternative.
