A DermaPlast blister plaster contains hydrocelloid. This material is a mixture composed of substances such as an adhesive, for example polyisobutylene, and small absorbent particles including carboxymethylcellulose, pectin and gelatin. The hydrocelloid layer on the blister plaster transforms into a gel cushion as soon as it comes into contact with the wound fluid. The gel cushion offers several advantages. Firstly, the cushion provides a moist environment for the wound or blister, which greatly promotes the healing process. Another advantage of the shaped gel cushion is that it reduces pressure on the blister. This way you experience less pain. DermaPlast blister plasters are available in different sizes.
