View full detailsPamper your patients with our ultra-gentle Ultrasound. Ultrasound gel is used for ultrasound, IPL treatments and medical imaging techniques.
The gel is applied to the patient's skin before using the ultrasound transducer (the device that emits and receives the sound waves) to ensure that there are no air bubbles between the transducer and the skin. Air bubbles can limit the ability of sound waves to penetrate the skin and reduce image quality.
The gel also acts as a conductive medium for the sound waves, allowing them to move more easily through the skin and produce better images. It is therefore important to apply sufficient gel to ensure that the sound waves are transmitted properly and that a clear image of the tissues and organs to be examined is obtained.
